Recapping another year of travelling through my favourite photos from each trip of 2013.
TRIP NO. 7: BUCHAREST, ROMANIA
The grim, forbidding image of the Carpathian Mountains made me want to go to Romania—as painted by the drak, velvety words in Bram Stoker’s Dracula. To my absolute surprise, Transylvania in early May, as in this photo of Peleş Castle, is the complete opposite of the dreary picture in the novel—it’s bright, full of life, and simply beautiful.
Blog series on Bucharest and Transylvania coming soon.
